Non-destructive testing, strong penetration, precise identification of hidden internal GIS defects.
Because the attenuation of ray energy differs between the inspected workpiece and its internal defect media, the transmitted intensity varies and defects become visible in the image. Different parts of the component have different thicknesses and densities, so the attenuation of ray energy also differs. This creates a black-and-white image with varying gray levels based on energy attenuation.
