Core O&M work

Daily inspection

Scope: check whether the optical cable has external damage, abnormal sag, sealing of splice closures, and legibility of markers.

Periodic testing

Scope: use OTDR (optical time-domain reflectometer) to measure the fiber attenuation curve and analyze performance degradation trends.

Fault emergency repair

Process: optical cable interruption → OTDR fault location → on-site repair (splicing) → service recovery → verification testing.

Hidden-risk remediation

Scope: clear trees and unauthorized structures along the cable route; reinforce towers/poles and repair damaged ducts.
