The Cable Sheath Fault Locator is an innovative, high-performance intelligent instrument that integrates computer technology and digital signal processing technology. It is mainly used for accurately locating metal sheath grounding faults in underground power cables (especially single-core high-voltage cables), and can also be used as an auxiliary method for locating core wire grounding faults when the sheath has already been damaged. The Ultra High Voltage Cable Sheath Fault Locator can measure the resistive current in the faulty cable through a current sensor in the well, allowing for segmental localization of the fault point. For a large number of cables laid on cable supports in cable tunnels, the fault point can also be determined by measuring the DC voltage using a high-voltage probe.
