"I was watching TV yesterday morning, and your tester was on CCTV News!"
February 5 was Hongbo Measurement & Control’s first day back at work after the Spring Festival. Around 2:00 p.m. that day, not long after General Manager Bu Xiangzhou had started work, a message from an old industry friend suddenly @-mentioned him in a WeChat group, leaving him baffled, so he quickly sent a message to ask why.

Bu Xiangzhou hurriedly thanked him and immediately instructed the relevant staff to search online. After a day and a half of careful searching, they finally found Hongbo’s "appearance" in a CCTV-13 (News Channel) report aired around 11:30 a.m. on February 3 in the program News Express, titled "Meizhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge: Night Riders on the High-Speed Rail, Escorts for the Spring Festival Travel Rush."
The old friend told Bu Xiangzhou that the day before, while watching TV at home, he had seen a CCTV-13 report on the inspection of insulator gray density and salt density on high-speed rail lines under the Nanchang Bureau of China Railway, and in it appeared equipment produced by Hongbo Measurement & Control. "It just flashed by for a second, but the instrument had Hongbo Measurement & Control on it."
The report was actually about the Fuzhou Power Supply Section of the Putian High-Speed Rail Power Supply Work Area under the Nanchang Bureau of China Railway, which organized overnight patrols of the power supply lines of the Meizhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge on the high-speed rail line to ensure the safety of the Spring Festival travel rush. The HB-SDT16 insulator salt-density tester developed by Hongbo Measurement & Control is precisely the "sharp tool" used by power supply staff to inspect grid safety, and the blue "Henan Hongbo Measurement & Control Technology Co., Ltd." logo on the instrument thus made its first appearance on CCTV News.
As understood, the HB-SDT16 salt-density tester is a specialized measuring instrument independently developed by Hongbo Measurement & Control for anti-pollution flashover testing in power systems. It is mainly used to measure equivalent salt deposit density on insulator surfaces as well as solution conductivity and temperature. With high accuracy, wide measurement range, portability, and easy operation, it is widely used in circuit inspection sites and power laboratories in various scenarios.
